How To Add Google Analytics to Joomla

Google Analytics (abbreviated GA) is a free service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about the visitors to a website.


Here is how to add Google Analytics to Joomla 1.5 (if you want to see the video demo click here)

I assume you already have a Google Analytic acocunt.
First, login into your Google Analytics account and generate your tracking code.
Here is Google Analytics Homepage

For Joomla 1.5

* Login to Joomla administrator account.
* go to menu Extension >>Template Manager
* click on your default template >> Edit HTML
* paste your Google Analytics tracking code right before tag
* then click on save.

You are done!!
